season's end at spurs

To say this has been a terrible season is a huge understatement. To think that this summer offers even greater likelihood of city cocking stuff up doesn't so much chill to the bone, but unleash a wearysome anger in the predictability that if something's looking good (take over, new investment, failed and tired board on its bike, end of reebok's awful shirts) city will somehow contrive to drape a big useless, deathly pale blue - coventry city like disastrous, classless, "not even my wife, who knows nothing about football, would decide to do that..." type cloud over the sunny spells threatening to emerge. Such ineptitude is beginning already - in fact, let's look at just 3 pieces of evidence to emerge today: we're thinking of signing Beasley, Dabo is staying, Hamann is staying, Pearce claims they owe us a shift. Stuart, it ain't gonna happen. Either as a consequence of Dabo's lack of class and his penchant for passing to the opposition or perhaps the fact that Hamann's legs were never delivered in his arrival from Liverpool and at his age they ain't ever coming back. Also, there's Beasley's use only as a reminder of the "fun" that you could be having eating twiglets at home in front of the BBC flogging crown green bowls in place of Grandstand - anything...anything but having to watch city. Beasley, aka. a twiglet in a city shirt, oppo defenders have only to come within 30 yards and he falls over. Too weak, lacking presence and going missing for at least 75% of every game played is not something that would get you the job in the workplace I go to every monday just to dream about my beloved but undeserving city. If anyone's still reading this, then I hope it makes a change from the tedious blog junk mano-a-mano rabble rousing of much of the stuff on here since it went log in only, i.e. blobby blue spot said this, ted had his tea, came back from play and said this, blah de blah - what I'd hope for is that I'd hope the MENs & Bernsteins of the world might just start to go public now with the oh-so-obvious its painfully clear, rut like chasm, city could fall into if matters don't get addressed this summer. Start asking some questions on the suporters behalf (because only you can bring pressure to bear, I would, but I don't own a large regional newspaper empire) I don't know about you but I'd like some questions raised by Barton answered (and leaving aside the thugs inexcusible behaviour): is there a plan other than just plain daft hope that this summer we'll sign somebody good? Certainly Beasley, Dabo and Hamann returning next season, along with the negativity thats pervaded the club since Wigley arrived aint a promising start.
